LYRICS
Electricity coursing, indwelt my veins has filled
Lightning returning my life, giving back what it once had killed
It's seeping through my heart, its tragedy brought me peace, harbinger of more
It's music in my ears, the sound of it crashing down, once-sundered soul not torn
(I'm) seeing it all in a whole new light
I'm feeling it all in a whole new life
Nothing is in my way
Clear is the path that's waiting for me
This is the greatest day
Time to open The Door and be
Hell has frozen; my frigid heart has thawed
Out from the ice; that kept me numb and bleak
Gone is nothing; the state of the drained
Into dreams remaining; thus granting all I seek
The cloying fog has vanished; It burned off with the night
The dawn is here, radiant and clear, the sun greets my eyes
Scream and cry, shout for joy, the bend has now since past
Tears dry as I run, the long-fought battle won, memories surpassed
Hell has frozen, my heart has thawed
My eyes have opened, to see my God

Death metal drumming 2; blasting (jamming to 250)

Second part to the first part, like the key to a locker or the spoon to a pie. I guess. Idk. Send me your thoughts on RedShot triggers.
Death metal drumming 1; blasting (jamming to 230)
Переглядів 3 тис.11 років тому
Messin around man. Hadn't recorded a video in awhile, so I though what the hey. Also, first video using my new RedShot ddrum triggers and ddrum module. It's taking a little getting used to, and of anyone has any tips on ease of use, transportation, etc. of said triggers, let me know via message! It would be greatly appreciated. :)
Metal drumming solo/jam/improv session

Nothing quite like tooling around in my basement. Just thought I'd post something original for once, even if it is all improvised. *shrug* I have big YouPlaceTheOcean news for you soon! If you weren't aware, YouPlaceTheOcean is a hardcore/metalcore band based in Murfreesboro, TN that I drum for. I will be posting another video soon with news about us and how we are coming along on our many fron...
Drum Cover; Fear Factory - Messiah (with and without song accompaniment)
Переглядів 4,5 тис.11 років тому
This has been one of my favorite songs for YEARS. Unfortunately, I had troubled syncing the audio and video of the song, so I've put the same clip in twice, so you can see me playing it with and without the track. My time floated a little bit towards the end of the track, so it's out of whack with the song for a few seconds, but it's a damn hard song to keep that consistent! I'm using a new cam...
Drum Cover; Dimmu Borgir - For The World To Dictate Our Death (Metal)
Переглядів 4,2 тис.11 років тому
I cover songs that I love, and this is one of them. I didn't choose to play every fill exactly right because I didn't feel the need. I like jamming. I hope you enjoy my slight alterations. Ha! I did. For The World To Dictate Our Death was a track from the 2003 recording Death Cult Armageddon by the symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir, and is the copyright property of its owners.
Drum cover; Gojira - Ocean Planet (Metal)
Переглядів 78611 років тому
This has always been a favorite tune of mine, so I decided to cover it. One of these days, I will have a set of mics so I can get clear drum sounds instead of having to use a handheld camera that is several years old. Until then.... whee. Ocean Planet is a part of the 2005 recording From Mars to Sirius by the band Gojira, and is the copyright property of its owners.
250 bpm drumming proof and death metal drum jam
Переглядів 39 тис.11 років тому
Sorry for the huge break in between drum videos! I've been busy as hell. I can play at 250 beats per minute on a "real kit" for you nincompoops that insist an electronic drum set is somehow a fake drumset. IT MAKES DRUM SOUNDS, DON'T IT? Really, though. Watch the video. Then I jam around, make some mistakes, have fun, yadda yadda. Pm with questions. I did NOT use triggers in this video, I don't...
Drum Tracking for YouPlaceTheOcean demo (experimental hardcore) (Dec. 4th 2011)
Переглядів 1,1 тис.12 років тому
This is not the cut we used for the demo. We recorded in my dorm room, which wasn't ideal but we didn't really have a place to go when we needed it. It was a lot of fun, and we should be done tracking everything else very soon, I think we only have some vocals left to go. Then mixing and then you all get to hear YouPlaceTheOcean. The Fallen EP will be just the first taste of our first full-leng...
Drumming explanation for the 250 bpm video foot and hand techniques
Переглядів 13 тис.14 років тому
THIS FOOT TECHNIQUE DOES NOT WORK ON ACOUSTIC DRUMS TO MY KNOWLEDGE hit me up here or on myspace at www.myspace.com/ian_the_unbeliever. I really enjoy metal, I practice as often as I can for as long as I can physically go. This is in explanation of the 250 bpm video. Yes, some call my technique fake. whatever. what matters is that the sound is being made, and I am actually hitting the drum head...

These are a few clips of me playing kind of early in the morning after staying up too late, not really warming and stuff. Im trying to find a good band or at least a couple guys to jam with in the Nashville, TN area, so if you're around and need somebody hit me up here or on myspace at www.myspace.com/ian_the_unbeliever. Gravity Blast Roll; Extreme Metal Technique
Переглядів 1,3 млн15 років тому
Demonstration of the one handed snare roll using the rim of the drum, as part of the gravity blast beat. If you think this is gay or fake, then keep it to yourself. Grow up, and ditch the bias against electronics. There's nothing wrong with them.
250 bpm Death metal insane drumming
Переглядів 736 тис.15 років тому
Just playing fast from a few years ago. If you think his is fake, then please look at the vid of mine where I explain. I'm tired of negative feedback and trolls. I did this for my own entertainment. Grow up people. And there's nothing wrong with an electric set, I own and play an acoustic and have not had the time to go back home from college to record or practice on it.

I was awed and inspired by watching a now-famous drummer for some years. I saw a reaction video of that drummer and kept saying "insane gravity blast," and how it was clean. I am not a drummer or musician, but this is incredibly awesome to my ears. The drummer's name is Jorge Garrido, AKA El Estepario Siberiano, on UA-cam.

Okay, to start i use a (dont judge) Gear4music BDK 1 full size starter, the snare is a 14” x 5.5 poplar shell with a remo head, due to the lack of rim this blast is not possible for me, ive tried on surfaces like table edges but it doesn’t work, and i cant afford another snare now so idk what to do or how to learn it

    • @jnonymous

Try holding, taping, or gluing a butter knife/chop stick/pen/pencil/drumstick to the edge of your table to create a rim?
